About Ken Downs

Fashion is kinda my thing… Born and raised in Louisville, KY, I’ve always wanted something more. I wanted a more fulfilling life instead of settling for a cookie-cutter lifestyle in a medium sized city that was just too small for me. Which is why I moved to Chicago to attend UIC for Communication, International Studies, and Marketing.(Which by the way, moving here was the BEST decision I’ve ever made for myself). While in university, I interned abroad for the Summer School marketing team at UCL (University College London) in London and studied abroad in Paris through non-profit organization IES Abroad. These experiences were the most enriching experiences of my life that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Currently I’m looking for full time creative work as a recent grad from the prestigious London College of Fashion. I’ve been writing for years, and styling for a minute. Fashion has always been something I’ve wanted to be a part of. I love to not only stay current with trends, but be ahead of the zeitgeist in fashion, music and pop culture. I want to be a part of documenting our cultural evolution.
