About Ken Easson

Ken Easson has a long and diverse career developing Web Sites and Web Applications as far back at 1998. Starting off with ASP, Access and Cold Fusion, Ken learned how to build a basic Web 1.0 sites that were data driven and frequently updated with user curated content. by Ken had learned Perl and adopted MySQL as his Datasource of choice. This would evolve to Php as Perl lacked vendor support. In the early Ken moved from part time freelance Developer, to a full time Web Developer, exploring Search engines for Atlantic Canada Online, a Real estate solution, and Sports Team Trading cards. From there his career launched in earnest as he became the lead developer at Digitally Imported (di.fm) an Online Radio station feature Trance, Classical and Pop music. Over the past 15 years, Ken has made great efforts to keep up with the Future of Web by leaning into personal development and growth. This means keeping up with emerging trends with caution, and being able to stay relevant in a rapidly evolving echo system. Most recently Ken has spoken at FITC's Web Unleashed about Tamagui, an emerging Framework for Web and Mobile and will be speaking again this year on the intersection of Design and Development.
