About Ken Fitzpatrick

I help businesses build greater cybersecurity resilience using our security patterns methodology. This methodology is grounded by work across several sectors and 20 years in the cybersecurity industry. There is an overreliance in the industry on using GRC to determine what good looks like for security. Pushing endless lists of controls and distracted from focusing on what are the actual security threats for that asset. Many organisations face the challenge of wanting to enable new technology and platforms, but feeling dragged backwards in checklist controls that don't appear relevant or necessary. At Patterned Security, we focus on building modern approaches to security strategy, architecture and design. We specialise in regulated environments in AWS and Azure for critical and sensitive workloads. We've built this methodology to solve these challenges and support business adoption for cloud. I'm the author of securitypatterns.io, a website dedicated to helping security professionals build better and more reusable security designs. Why do I care so much for security patterns … Because design matters. Want to know more? Let's connect. Reach out to me on Linkedin or email us at hello@patternedsecurity.com
