Healthcare Safety Champion / Physician Leader / Health Sector Strategist My practice of clinical and administrative medicine spans my local community, my country, and even beyond. Entrepreneurial in mindset and a proven change manager, I have had countless opportunities that all focus on provision of safe and quality care to those in need in a wide variety of healthcare organizations, large and small. The capstone of this career is as a domestic safety consultant for Joint Commission Resources. Each team I've worked with was a blessing and opportunity for which I'm forever grateful. I have also been truly blessed by several national organizations. As a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, FACHE, I collaborate with the nation's best forward-thinkers in healthcare. As a Certified Physician Executive by the American College of Physician Executives, I have enjoyed surprising opportunities and mentoring. Finally, the American Association of Physician Specialists has been a wonderful training ground as a national leader. I have served as President for the organization and was awarded their highest honor, the E.O. Martin Award as well as Fellowship in their American Academy of Emergency Physicians.
