My Second Chapter started with Covid. It was at that time that I decided to pursue a new career path, something completely different from my past experience and training. I went back to school, nearly 30 years after graduating with a bachelor of science degree. A little over 4 years later, I now have a diploma in urban land economics and have achieved my goal of becoming a designated appraiser. I am an AACI, P. App, specializing in agricultural and rural property valuations. My First Chapter consisted of working in the Automotive and Aerospace manufacturing industries as everything from a Quality department Co-op student to the Quality Manager. The text below has been in my profile from day one so I’ve left it here unchanged. Confident, reliable, knowledgeable, detail-focused Quality professional, with 25 years of technical expertise obtained primarily from tier 1 automotive and aerospace environments, in particular from my 5 years as a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer with Linamar, as well as 12 years of shop floor experience as a Quality Resident Engineer at the Toyota manufacturing facilities in Canada. I have a well-respected and distinguished track record as a leader, ambassador, negotiator and skilled communicator working closely with all levels, from production associates, to engineers and management. Possessing an in-depth and insightful understanding of the automotive industry from both the supplier and customer perspectives, I am keenly aware of what it takes to get the job done, while meeting all requirements, standards and expectations.
