After many years in this business, it’s clear that the most important part of being successful at my work is continually learning. Pump reliability technology is constantly improving and in order to provide solutions to your customer, you have to be adaptable, responsive and eager to learn. In the ‘90s, I was part of the first team that helped bring composite use in pumps into the mainstream for refining companies. A lot of the work was trial-and-error, and we worked closely with end users to determine the best approach for replacing metals with composite to minimize pump downtime, improve safety and increase the life, reliability and performance of their pumps. Over the next couple of decades, I specialized in technical sales, product line and business unit management, ensuring that I know where application of composite materials bring the best value. Today, I bring all that experience together to envision and create custom solutions for each client’s distinct set of requirements and goals. Relationships are the key to my business philosophy. Success is all about listening carefully to a client’s needs, following through on every detail and creating a solution that delivers results both immediately and over a pump’s life cycle.
