Background
About Ken Keuffel
In addition to writing communications pieces for Pfeiffer University and Fayetteville State University, I can and will take on lots of other projects. For example, I ghostwrite memoirs and lessons-for-success books, mainly for arts/entertainment professionals and other creatives who want to record their accomplishments and insights in a book - but lack the time and inclination to take on the heavy lifting of a large writing project. Each memoir is based on several hours of client interviews and any research needed to ensure accuracy or flesh out details. The interview questions I ask are informed by my 20-plus years of experience in A&E journalism; more often than not, they unlock memories of key events, etc, and generate substantive discussions about them. Each memoir I ghostwrite aims to: Market an arts/entertainment professional or creative as an accomplished expert/influencer; Provide fledgling and mid-career administrators and practitioners in entertainment, the arts, and other creative fields with useful information originating from one of their colleagues; and Preserve a remarkable, inspiring story in the collective memory. I can also write and/or edit: News articles and alumni profiles for universities other than Pfeiffer or FSU; Profiles of musicians and other artists; Previews of performances; Bios of artists, arts administrators, etc; and Obituaries.(I know, the idea of having an obit written before your death likely doesn't top your bucket list of things to do now. However, it has merit: The friends and loved ones you leave behind at your death will not be saddled with the onerous task of composing/communicating a reliable account of your life. They can simply pull material that's been filed away "in the can."
