I am a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years experience in IT. The first 20 years was spent dedicated to Microsoft products. I've since branched out into more diverse areas with a focus on telephony platforms. As a Product Manager at Nectar, I have been instrumental in shaping the vision for Nectar’s cloud-based telephony troubleshooting, analytics, and reporting solution. In my previous role as a Senior Solutions Architect at Nectar, I played a pivotal role in advancing our next-generation telephony analytics suite. Leveraging my deep technical expertise in Skype for Business, I contributed to the evolution of Nectar’s analytics program. By understanding customer needs and staying at the forefront of industry trends, I ensured that our analytics solution remained a market leader. Before Nectar, I made significant contributions at Event Zero as a Product Manager. My focus was on the UC Commander product—a web-based Skype for Business call analytics platform. Notably, this platform was later acquired by Microsoft in 2016. My expertise in the inner workings of UC Commander allowed me to enhance the product and empower customers to maximize their software investments. Starting my career at Microsoft Canada as an OS technical support technician, I gained valuable insights into Information Technology. My journey eventually led me to Buchanan Technologies, where I assumed the role of a Managing Consultant. As a self-trained Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer proficient in Microsoft Server-based technologies, I honed my skills in Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and eventually Skype for Business and its previous iterations. My technical acumen, combined with a strong work ethic, ensures that projects are consistently completed on time. Beyond technical prowess, my outgoing and friendly personality fosters positive collaborations. It’s no surprise that previous clients specifically request my assistance by name when additional projects arise. Due to my contributions to the Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams online community and my UCDialplans website (formerly Lync Dialing Rule Optimizer), I was honored as a Lync/Skype MVP (Most Valuable Professional) for 8 years. This prestigious position allowed me to connect with fellow MVPs and engage directly with the brilliant minds behind Microsoft Teams design and development.
