About Ken Patterson
My time in the Peace Corps put me in direct contact with extreme poverty. I find it pretty crazy that poverty exists at such a mass scale when all of the solutions to poverty already exist. I cannot sit by and allow this craziness to exist, so I am engaged in creating political will to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to realize at least most of their human potential. We can do this by putting resources and policies on place so that everyone has access to education, basic healthcare, and economic opportunity. So far RESULTS has been the most powerful thing I can find to address poverty at the scale necessary. Until I find a better solution, I will continue with RESULTS. In my lifetime I know I can help end AIDS, end preventable child deaths, and end extreme poverty. That will be my legacy.
