About Ken Rahl

Castle Peak Associates provides management consulting, technology, business process and implementation expertise in the investment management industry, with a focus on buy-side institutional investment managers and service providers in that space. We have offices in Toronto and Los Angeles and have clients and consultants operating across North America. Ken Rahl has been providing consulting services in the investment management industry for over 25 years. Ken is a Certified Public Accountant and has passed Level II of the CFA examination process. Ken's experience includes implementing technologies and improving business processes that assist investment managers to evaluate data, perform investment analysis, make investment decisions, execute and settle trades, calculate performance, and provide reporting data to clients. Ken has extensive experience working with investment managers responsible for accounting and financial reporting of their investments, across multiple accounting bases and reporting jurisdictions- Experience with large and small institutions, including investment advisors, mutual fund companies, banks, treasury departments, public pension funds and insurance companies- Experience with a number of systems in the investment management process, including projects to select, assess and/or implement systems for investment accounting, trade/order management, performance measurement, and custom reporting- Deep understanding of the business of investment management, accounting and reporting, including how data flows through investment management firms and how business processes support the organization- Project management experience ranging from large-scale project management infrastructures to small-firm, infrastructure-free environments- Significant recent experience implementing SimCorp Dimension, PAM for Securities and many other investment systems across a variety of industry sub-segments.
