About Ken Ramsay

I spent my entire life on the family farm, where we were taught how to take care of the land we set foot on and daily discipline by taking care of the animals that helped our successful farm win Master Farm Family Award in 1970. To be the neighbour my neighbours could count on and volunteer in a community and give back for what it had given me growing up,(somewhere to go to stay out of trouble.)To carry one vision forward that my father had driven us toward until the passing of my wife in 2008. From this point I needed to get my last two children out of high school and into University and from there my healing required me to seek a career change, a new challenge. Newalta is my challenge. Now mid 2018, 7 years, 3 facilities, some of them twice visited for different positions and surviving a merger of two companies, I am more than ready for my next role within Tervita Corporation as Interim Facility Manager at Willow Creek Landfill. I look forward to expanding my landfill knowledge within this great company, meeting new people and doing what I can everyday to be a positive impact to the team under me and provide leadership for us to help Tervita grow and realize its Vision. It may be a very small piece to a much bigger puzzle but we will keep one vision, work to be recognized for doing so and in a safe manner.
