Plan, develop, and coordinate clinical IT related activities of the hospital using Project Management techniques and principles. Projects include; physician dictation of patient notes in EHR with Dragon Medical 360 NE, specialty system upgrades like OBIX & CribNotes, and EHR/HIE end user training & adoption. Provide direction and support for daily operational activities, within the ITIL concepts and framework. Production support of clinical systems including; workflow analysis, application configuration, testing, support, and evaluation. Work with other decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all clinical & business objectives, with a focus on best practices and optimal use of bed-side clinical applications. Coordinate the hospital Meaningful Use project over all stages for CMS reporting to demonstrate meaningful use of the McKesson Paragon EHR. Promote physician and nursing clinical computing and adoptions of new workflows in the EHR around CPOE, Med Rec, physician template charting with Dragon Medical 360 NE, and ePrescribing.
