About Ken Shubert

With over 23 years of experience as an Army Officer, I am a seasoned leader, strategist, and engineer who is passionate about developing and empowering future leaders. I currently serve as the Division Deputy Commanding Officer at the US Army Reserve, where I assist the Commanding General with implementing vision and guidance across the force to train and prepare future Officers commissioning through ROTC and West Point. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to the team, as I have a Master of Business Administration from the University of Illinois and a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College. In my previous roles, I have demonstrated excellence in cross-functional team leadership, organizational leadership, and strategic planning. As a Brigade Commander, I was responsible for the overall success and readiness of a 3600-Soldier Engineer Brigade. I led the unit through multiple training exercises, inspections, and mobilizations, ensuring high standards of performance, safety, and morale. As a Director of Human Capital, I oversaw the talent management, professional development, and retention of over 1800 Soldiers and Civilians. As an Engineer Battalion Commander and a Division Operations Officer, I planned and executed complex engineering projects and operations in support of the Army's missions and objectives. I have also qualified as an Army Engineer, Army Strategist, and Army Instructor, and have acquired skills in innovation, communication, and problem-solving.
