About Ken Suddaby

As a clinical and occupational psychiatrist, my focus has been on helping individuals and businesses overcome obstacles, and empowering them to achieve well-being and fulfillment. I’ve worked with employees, employers, insurers, business leaders and healthcare professionals, practicing in both the mental health and corporate fields. When treating individuals, I take a holistic approach and consider every aspect of their life—the whole support system, including family, friends, colleagues and work environments. Too often, patients in need of customized treatment from a range of professionals—including psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists and mediators—aren’t able to get the complete and integrated care they need. There is no way to coordinate each of these interventions. Watching people struggle to get the mental health care they deserve has made me passionate about developing a mental health company that will coordinate all parties involved in the system. My experience as a management consultant with Totem Hill, advising, coaching and mentoring leaders through the process of corporate transformation, gives me unique insight into the needs of both employees and organizations. In 2010, I founded Mynkala, a mental health company that offers multidisciplinary, psychiatry-led care for employees with workplace funding for treatment. Our goal is to provide mental health services that support the system as a whole, helping to empower employees to return to productivity, and creating a win-win situation for employees and organizations alike.
