About Ken Wimberly

I’m a former executive and leader with over 23 years of governance, legal, transactional, restructuring, compensation, and management experience at the world’s largest airline. My governance experience is particularly extensive, as I led the governance program at American Airlines Group Inc. for over 14 years, participated in hundreds of board meetings, and served on the board of directors of several of its subsidiaries. As a transactional lawyer at American for nearly 24 years, including as Deputy General Counsel leading the team responsible for all of American’s corporate, commercial and finance practice, I’m also an accomplished lawyer, leader and business partner, and I played critical roles in American’s most significant matters, including restructurings and mergers. Following my departure from American, I started real estate and consulting businesses, and I provide governance, leadership, strategy, integration, compensation, legal, and management advice and counsel to large and small organizations. I support several non-profit organizations, including currently as Chair-Elect and board member of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, where I have held a number of important board leadership positions.
