Ken is an Owner/Managing Partner in The Wormald Companies, an internationally-recognized real estate development firm celebrated for it's innovative and nationally award-winning new land plans and designs, master planned communities, expertise in the empty-nester / active adult market segment, market leading architecture, and industry-leading branding and sales team management. Wormald is a fully-integrated development firm managing all aspects of the development process including land acquisition, engineering, architecture, land development, construction, sales, leasing, and property management. Property types include seniors housing, residential, office, retail, and mixed use. Recognized as the second fastest growing home builder in the nation from 2003 to 2006, Wormald has earned a place in the nation's Top 120 Builders list, and Top 20 in the DC region, with over lots in the development pipeline across 4 states, with emphasis in new business growth in and around the Washington, DC area. Ken oversees all aspects of the Wormald organization, but focusing on managing the senior living division, new business development, new product launching, and serving as Broker of Wormald Realty. Ken is active in various building industry associations, serves on the Board of Directors of two homeowners associations, and has served on the Executive Committee of the Urban Land Institute, Baltimore. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Communications from the University of Richmond, an M.A. from Regent College, an M.S. in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University, and graduated with AMDP Real Estate Class 15 at Harvard University. Ken has served as a Human Rights and Religious Freedom Correspondent in the office of U.S. Congressman Christopher Smith and has served on the Board of Directors of the Fourth Presbyterian School, where he chaired the Development Committee.
