About Kena Johnson-Beamon

As a Grants Manager/Project Coordinator II at The University of Memphis, I have over 12 years of experience in leading and collaborating in grant projects and events that support student success and educational improvement. I have a Doctor of Education and a Master of Science in Leadership and Education, as well as a certification in Life Coaching, which enable me to apply my skills and knowledge in various settings and situations. I am passionate about event planning, working collaboratively, and serving as a primary liaison between divisions and other departments. I have demonstrated my leadership, collaboration, and strategic planning abilities by managing Grant Assistants, Summer Interns, and teams, and assisting with the hiring process. I have also contributed to budget planning, policy compliance, student learning, and program evaluation.
