About Kendall Carr

Hi there! My name is Kendall, as a third-year political science major at UC Berkeley, I’m drawn to political and social justice journalism as a means of holding power accountable and amplifying marginalized voices. I am passionate about the different ways in which the media influences politics and vice versa — especially in today’s media landscape where digital platforms play a huge role in shaping public opinion. Additionally, my studies in health and wellness have deepened my commitment to civil rights, as I believe access to health and well-being is a fundamental aspect of justice and equality for all communities. Growing up in a family of press workers and educators, I’ve come to deeply value critical thinking and the importance of engaging with diverse perspectives. I intend to explore this further through a career that fuels my passion for advocacy and broadens political awareness, especially among underrepresented communities. Whether through journalism, policy work, or public engagement, I hope to help bridge the gap between people and the systems that shape their lives. Let's connect!
