About Kendall Shipp

My inspiration is diversity, and I am looking to create/design products and experiences that are lasting and impactful. I am a 2019 Auburn University Graduate from Memphis, TN. I love all things Auburn and Grizzlies. When I am not screaming, WAR EAGLE! Cheering on the top ranked Tigers on the sidelines of any Auburn sporting event. Catch me in my hometown eating BBQ which I have a unique palate for, no place does BBQ like Memphis and if you haven't checked the city out, I suggest you do. I consider myself a young designer passionate about finding my next opportunity. My design aesthetic is a mixture of preppy traditional and ultra mid-century modern. I'm inspired by cultural elements of design as well, which is why I also design with a new theme in mind Afrofuturism,(Design for afrocentric societies) European and Asian cultures both have their own culture within design or what design could be with in those cultural ideals, but Afrocentric cultures are grossly underrepresented my goal is to change that because it inspires a new segment of the world that hasn't been inspired, and to me that is what design is all about.
