Background

About Kendra Dangora

I am a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art, & Aquinas College. For many years, I taught children in the school system of Brookline, Massachusetts. I was involved in several cooperative studios, then became the assistant technician to the Clay Tech at Massachusetts College of Art. I rebuilt and maintained kilns, organized and managed studio materials, facilities, & assisted the students. I continue to participate in many regional shows, auctions, and fairs throughout my years as a professional artist. I am a potter, sculptor, illustrator, painter, and multi media artist. Commissions are available for portraits of animals or people, in graphite, colored pencil, paint or pastel. Commissions are also available for any other idea presented to me. I am an assistant in the Children's House at Bay Farm Montessori Academy. I teach private artist lessons in my home studio. I have taught drawing at the Plymouth Campus of Quincy College, various classes at the Cape Cod Art Center, Plymouth Guild Center for the Arts, the Greater Arc of Plymouth, Marion Art Center, and the Wareham Council on Aging. I host Paint Nights, and events for birthday parties. I obtained a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council to offer a free clay program to the children in my town; hosted by our local library. I’ve won numerous awards. I live in a bungalow in an estuary and bird sanctuary on the Wankinkho river. My favorite thing in the world is to be in my studio and garden. I love to watch the sunset from my studio window; constantly inspired by my nature infused environment, as well as life, passion, color, and emotion. I draw figures and portraits of people and animals in graphite, pastel, and colored pencil. A also draw land and skyscapes with pastels, acrylics and watercolors. I am also a sculptress who creates textural pottery, as well as abstract forms. I have illustrated two published children's books:"Three Ducks and a Goose", as well as "Matilda, A Story of a Sad Donkey". Urchinware on Etsy Urchinware on Instagram Arturchin on Facebook
