About Kendra Deckard

I have developed my skills in the Recreation Therapy field as a CTRS assistant and CTRS intern. I have worked several summers as a camp counselor and in the Youth Sports Programs at the YMCA. These jobs have cultivated my skills in leadership and management and increased the desire to work with children on their abilities and development in a recreational enviroment. I am actively volunteering at camps, adapted physical activity programs, and in disability facilities for RT. This has helped my knowledge of and experience in RT grow with different populations and environments. Studied Exercise Science and Recreation Therapy. My studies have given me more knowledge about the human body and how it reacts to exercise and fitness activities as well as recovery and prevention methods that take place during therapy rehabilitation.
