About Kendra Jacobs

Hello, I am Kendra Jacobs and I am studying Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University. As a current student, I am aspiring to receive my Bachelor's Degree by May of 2024. My journey has been enhanced by significant co-op and internship experiences that I held through college, where I enriched my skills and knowledge across critical domains. I held an engineering rotational co-op position with Montgomery Water Works where we worked to develop and maintain standards of design and construction that maximizes the service life of new water and sanitary sewer infrastructure. Through this experience, I developed beneficial knowledge with applications such as AutoCAD and ArcPro GIS Systems that allowed me to assist in utility site design, water main replacement & sanitary sewer man hole rehabilitation projects. In addition, I interned with STERIS Corporation as a manufacturing engineer in the Surgical Tables and Paint Department. Through this experience, I developed valuable expertise in AS400 Databasing, Continuous Improvement processes, and a profound understanding of how to collaborate seamlessly within diverse teams. My work included practicing Lean manufacturing to ensure efficiency within the Paint Department and assisting the Tables Value Stream Team with Surgical Table Prototype testing.
