About Kendra Karlin

My number one passion in life is helping others grow, succeed, and embrace their strengths, all while advocating for their needs and wants along the way. I believe that building positive and impactful relationships, as well as embracing one another‘s diversity is our greatest strength. Because of my experiences and education I have a very transferable skill set. Communication, advocacy, and building positive relationships allows me to build trust and transparency with others. Organization, creativity, multi-tasking, flexibility, and time management are key in meeting deadlines and taking on various roles that are expected of me. Implementing goals, plans to reach goals, and data analysis allow me to assist in progress monitoring and problem solving. I pride myself in having a strong work ethic and being a humble leader, while also having a growth mindset, to learn as much as I can and make my skillset stronger and broader. I have 10+ years of experience using these skills while working with youth of very diverse backgrounds: ESL, differing SES, neurodivergent, high trauma, refugees, etc. My work ethic and strengths have lead to many accomplishments such as: being selected as ‘Teacher of the Year’ at my school my third year; being selected by my administrator to be on the school leadership team, trauma team, and behavior team for the past five years; being a mentor to two student teachers and to a new teacher for two years; organizing/hosting a blood drive the past two years; and coaching Girls on the Run. Along with being personable and passionate, I have a positive attitude/outlook with a caring and ‘young at heart’ personality. Some experiences, besides education, that have built me into the person I am today are: growing up on multigenerational farm, participating in sports, my faith, studying abroad in college, being provided with travel experiences growing up along with planning my own elaborate travel experiences, and having strong relationships. I believe my education/experiences, passions, and personality have given me a valuable skill set that would benefit me in any position.
