About Kendra Kountz

With a background in art, a love for writing, and years of experience on the internet, I craft content that covers compelling storytelling with a CTA. I am passionate about creating community, digital accessibility, and making things informative and fun whenever possible. My former work includes experience as Social Media and Community Manager for an internationally-known company, where I directed a team of designers to bring both static and video content to life across a variety of social platforms. I launched campaigns, monitored their success, and supported numerous stakeholders (both internal and external) with their campaigns. In 2023, I contributed to growing our engagement rate across the company Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn by 5.55% YoY. While managing the company's online community, we saw an increase of ~9k followers across all our platforms. Outside of social and community management, project management, and content creation, I am heavily involved in creating comics and zines about pop-culture ephemera. I volunteer at Studio Two Three locally and organize regular comic/zine meetups. I have given talks about my work at galleries (such as Washington Project for the Arts https://wpadc.org/) and at conventions such as Toronto Comic Arts Festival and Small Press Expo.
