About Kendra Lowden

Kendra has expertise in tribal child welfare with over a decade of experience working for tribal nations. She is an enrolled member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation and a descendant of the Osage Nation. Her leadership development and coaching experience extends beyond tribal communities and into national work. Kendra believes in the value of incorporating Indigenous values and voices into Western knowledge systems and practices. She is a proud alumni of the AdoptUSKids Minority Professional Leadership Development Program. Kendra is a doctoral candidate at Southern Nazarene University. Her research richly examines the impact child welfare organizations have on foster and adopted children’s access to maintaining and building connections to their cultures of origin.
