About Kendra Williamson

I have funneled my passion for the English language into my work as an editor. With my background in English linguistics from Brigham Young University, I developed a deep understanding of how language works. My minors in editing and TESOL (Teaching English to Speaker of Other Languages) provide me with linguistic knowledge that I apply to help to writers communicate their ideas. When I edit, I listens carefully to the author’s needs and desires, and I willingly articulate my opinions and perspectives. I generally focus first on the big picture and the overall organization before working on grammar and punctuation. Additionally, I enjoy helping authors improve their writing style and flow if they desire to do so. Because of my educational background, I fulfill many roles related to, but different from, editing. I have tutored writing, made a series of videos on writing principles, taught English lessons to non-native speakers, and more.
