About Kendrea Close

I have only recently returned to Geology after 8 years. However, I believe that during my time in Corrections I have acquired soft skills in EQ, team building and risk assessment that would be beneficial to any operation. I have completed a Senior Officer Development Program which is geared toward people, personnel and project management. My enthusiasm for Geology has not wavered while not practicing and I continue to collect rocks which has inspired me to explore exploration geology I enjoy the challenge associated with both short- and long-term projects and always strive to give the best results. While with the Prison I both coordinated and facilitated our schools program which required forward thinking, project management and constant risk assessing as students would be exposed to serving prisoners. I have a sound knowledge of geotechnical and geological core logging. I enjoy mapping and logging and would love the opportunity to further develop my skills in deposit modelling and project planning. While working at Copper Mines Tasmania I was exposed to development planning and grade control through bulk sampling in a cave mining operation and found it engaging in both a geological and structural sense. I am a positive person with a genuine passion to see my team and company succeed I have a natural ability to adapt to any team environment.
