About Kendrick Arakaki

As an Administrative Analyst at City of Salem, I work with the Public Works Division at the Salem Municipal Airport, where we launched commercial air service after a 10+ year hiatus. I worked with the Airport Manager to bring the Airport Certification Manual (ACM) to meet the commercial air service requirements, and spearheaded financial, procurement, and reporting process changes after the team's transition to the Public Works division. Additionally, I launched the first Salem Airport newsletter, in coordination with the Airport Manager, Airport Operations Manager, and Airport Security Manager, to effectively communicate updates, deadlines, and upcoming changes with airport tenants, commissioners, and interested parties.I have a BA in Economics from Willamette University, where I received multiple honors and awards for my outstanding leadership and contribution to the student body and the American Studies Program. I also have an Airport Security Coordinator Certification (ASC) issued by and I am proficient in budgeting, airport security, and airport management. I am a lifetime learner with an exceptional desire to continually seek and recommend improvements through data-informed decisions. Besides my role as an Administrative Analyst, I am also a photographer and videographer who covers the Willamette Bearcats throughout the year.
