Background
About Kendyl Pennington
Energetic scientist with over 9 years of experience in Neurobiology. Passionate about brains, music, and coding (with a special affinity for Python). Excited to continue to unravel the fascinating physiology that surrounds neurodegenerative diseases using Deep Brain Stimulation. Ph.D Neuroscience (coming soon!) M.S. Physiology B.S. Chemistry One of my proudest accomplishments is receiving the Ryan Clark Memorial Scholarship. Ryan Clark was a hero at the Virginia Tech shootings when he stepped between the shooter and a young lady he sought to attack. His heroic actions cost him his life and he became the first of more than 50 students and teachers that were killed or wounded at the hands of Seung-Hui Cho. I was extremely blessed to be the Recipient of the Ryan Clark Memorial Scholarship and was selected by Ryan’s mother, Letitie Clark, for this honor based upon academics, altruism, and leadership.
