About Kene Nwe

I am Kene Nwe, a Lagos-based interior designer, architect of experiences, and Creative Director of TCP Design Studio (The Crafts Plug)—a design firm redefining how Africa lives, works, and hosts. My philosophy blends mindful maximalism, cultural storytelling, and modern luxury to create spaces that are as functional as they are deeply personal. Whether designing private residences, boutique hotels, retail spaces, or large-scale urban projects, my work celebrates intentional design and Afro-contemporary identity. With a bold vision, I am positioning TCP Design Studio as the leading interior design brand in Nigeria and across Africa within the next two years. Beyond interiors, I am expanding into furniture manufacturing, wallpaper design, and curated product collections, creating a full ecosystem of African-led design excellence.I am also deeply engaged in community and industry growth through my role as Program Lead at AfricaNXT, curating conversations and platforms that spotlight African creativity, collaboration, and innovation. At my core, I am a storyteller who believes that spaces should not only look beautiful but should feel like a reflection of identity, aspiration, and culture.
