About Kenna Boyd

Kenna joined Opus in 2023 as an Associate Partner of the firm, joining the Higher Education and Not-for-Profit practices. Previously, she rose from Senior Associate to Managing Director in Storbeck Search, working with a variety of institutions in searches for presidents, finance and advancement leaders, facilities professionals, and deans. Her clients included the University of Wisconsin–Madison, the University of Texas at Austin, Virginia Tech, George Mason University, Susquehanna University, Johns Hopkins University, and Washington and Lee University. Before starting her career in executive search, Kenna served as Director of Donor Relations at the University of Virginia. During her time at UVA, she helped to facilitate the cultivation and stewardship of donors and prospects. Earlier in her career, she worked at Legacy Marketing Partners as a client service manager, leading efforts in marketing strategy, consumer engagement, and event planning. Kenna is a first-generation college attendee and graduate, earning her BA in Broadcast Journalism from Oklahoma State University. She has served as a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and a member of the Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP).
