About Kennedy Bailey

Hej, I’m Kennedy (she/her), a writer, researcher, and educator exploring the space between cultural study and creative practice. In the fall of 2025, I joined Malmö University’s Culture and Change: Critical Studies in the Humanities master’s program. I’m especially interested in joy as resistance, public culture as infrastructure, and how institutions shape (and are shaped by) memory, visibility, and belonging. I bring a background in pedagogy, curriculum design, and digital innovation. I continue to work remotely in a 50% position as a pedagogical advisor at the University of Oslo's LINK, where I led projects on AI in education, universal design, gamification, and academic development. Previously, I was a Fulbright grantee and writing center coordinator in Norway, supporting students and faculty across disciplines. My academic background bridges the humanities and education, with a Bachelor’s of Arts in English Literature and Creative Writing and a Master’s of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction—with particular focus on critical pedagogy, cultural representation, and diverse literacies. Outside of my academic and office work, I publish poetry, nonfiction, and speculative fiction. I am also a part-time barista, volunteer at a local queer and feminist bookstore, and a member of Crime City Roller Derby. Jag håller för närvarande på att lära mig svenska och ligger på A2-nivå i läsförståelse, skrivande, tal och hörförståelse.
