About Kennedy Chiara

As a Global Business Scholar at the University of Utah, I’m passionate about the intersection of business, creativity, and people. Currently pursuing a degree in Entrepreneurship, I’m especially drawn to the world of developing talent and building high-impact teams, where strategy meets human potential. This summer, I’m interning with a telecom startup zLinq, gaining firsthand experience in how companies attract, engage, and grow exceptional teams. Long-term, I aspire to lead a corporate talent function, shaping inclusive cultures and designing programs that drive innovation. On campus, I was recently promoted to Director of The Geekwave, the university’s student-run pop culture media platform. I lead a team of creatives producing podcasts, videos, and digital content that celebrates identity, storytelling, and community. My prior roles in social media and design as well as my course studies have helped me develop strong communication and leadership skills that are flexible across business contexts. My global experience includes interning at Kooba, a digital agency in Dublin, Ireland, and supporting international student recruitment as an International Admissions Coordinator. These opportunities have strengthened my adaptability, cross-cultural communication, and appreciation for diverse perspectives- skills I hope to bring to future talent and leadership roles.
