Background

About Kennedy E. Stone

I’m a Mechanical Engineer with 5+ years of experience in product development, CAD modeling, prototyping, and fabrication design, with a focus in the automotive and defense industries. My core strength lies in transforming early-stage concepts into functional, manufacturable solutions—balancing creativity, analytical rigor, and hands-on engineering. I bring cross-disciplinary experience in 3D design, mechanical simulation, and iterative prototyping, and have contributed to projects ranging from vehicle system components to custom electromechanical assemblies. I thrive in collaborative, fast-paced environments and care deeply about inclusive design, lifelong learning, and applying engineering to solve real-world, human-centered challenges. Core Technical Skills & Tools CAD/Modeling: Siemens NX, SolidWorks, CATIA Simulation/Analysis: ANSYS (FEA), MATLAB PLM & Visualization: Teamcenter, VisMockup Design for Manufacturing: DFM/DFA, sheet metal, additive manufacturing Fabrication & Prototyping: Mills, lathes, CNC, welding, 3D printing
