About Kennedy Weissman

My name is Kennedy Weissman, and I am a fourth-year student at the University of Florida pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Pre-Law, along with minors in Leadership and Family, Youth, and Community Sciences. I am deeply passionate about child advocacy and making a meaningful impact on people’s lives and the world around me. My ultimate goal is to become a lawyer focused on family law, particularly in adoption and foster care, where I can use my skills to create positive change. Through my involvement in clubs and organizations at UF, I have cultivated a strong sense of teamwork and developed valuable leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills. Whether mentoring peers, resolving challenges in a professional setting, or contributing to community-focused initiatives, I thrive in roles where I can collaborate and make a difference. I am currently exploring internships, volunteer opportunities, and work experiences to further prepare for law school and my career. I plan to take a gap year after graduating in 2026 to gain real-world experience, ideally in a legal environment, and to continue growing both personally and professionally.
