About Kenneth Broeckel

I have worked 30+ years as a CLS II generalist, predominately in acute care Clinical Laboratory settings. I am also a consultant for a Physician Office/Urgent Care Center. In college I really liked Analytical Chemistry and this was a major decision factor for me to choose becoming a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. It's fun, challenging and rewarding to assist in the care that Clinicians provide for patients. It's a good fit for me and I share this with young students touring medical labs to help them decide on good careers for themselves. I often make the point that they should ask themselves if they like direct or indirect patient care. I am very much into health and fitness. I do something physical everyday: walking, hiking, running and/or CrossFit. I'm working and hoping to compete as a Masters Athlete in the CrossFit Games!
