About Kenneth Dotson

Kenneth’s education in finance began when he made the decision to attend Dominican University of California and chose to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and International Business. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Arts in Finance and International Business, Kenneth chose to pursue his MBA with emphasis in Global Strategic Leadership. While completing his education at Dominican University, Kenneth accepted employment opportunities as a Credit Analyst for Tamalpais Bank (now Union Bank) and Sonoma Bank, where he developed his financial analysis skill-set and solidified his understanding of the relationship between finance and accounting in corporate finance. While working for Sonoma Bank, Kenneth invested his free time in learning to build financial models and produce accurate valuations for public companies to not only to identify investment opportunities, but to gain a greater understanding of execution of non-recurring and recurring business models. The combination of his passion for Corporate Finance and his credit analysis skill-set, and deal closing ability eventually led to the founding of Alantes Corporate Finance, a full-service capital raising firm for firms in the lower middle market. Kenneth has successfully led and closed over 50 transactions resulting in approximately $300M in capital raised. As an avid technical and fundamental investor, Kenneth has over 10 years of investing experience, specifically in public equities and corporate bonds.
