Background

About Kenneth Ho

Bioinformatician and computational biologist passionate about applying genomics and data science to real-world problems in biotech, pharma, and precision medicine.I recently graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with dual B.S. degrees in Bioinformatics and Chemistry (Summa Cum Laude, 4.0 GPA) and am currently working as a Bioinformatics Technician at the UAB Dolby Lab, where I build RNA-seq pipelines, perform population genomics analyses, and characterize gene families in rattlesnake genomes. I'll be continuing my training as an incoming MS Bioinformatics student at Boston University's Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences in Fall 2026 — with the goal of transitioning into industry roles where I can apply computational biology to drug discovery, functional genomics, and biomedical data science. My long-term goal is to work at the intersection of biological research and data-driven decision making with the goal of contributing to teams building the next generation of therapeutics and diagnostics. I'm drawn to environments where computational rigor and biological curiosity go hand in hand.Interests: Computational biology · Functional genomics · Transcriptomics · Drug discovery · Biotech & pharma · Data science
