I am a passionate, consistent, and dependable safety professional! It is my privilege to use my T.A.G.S.(talents, abilities, gifts, and skills) to promote personal and occupational health, safety, and security, and I love to work with others who also feel that being an EHS professional is a lifelong calling. As an EHS Manager, I can: assess facility needs and create annual safety improvement plans; oversee and manage a budget for safety materials and services; spearhead hazard identification and risk assessment, contractor safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, medical surveillance, worker's compensation, training, radiation, hazardous waste, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 auditing and compliance, and PPE programs; develop and optimize safety standards and procedures; recruit and develop a professional EHS staff; respond to emergencies and urgent employee and facility issues; interface and foster collaboration with staff members, outside organizations, and regulatory agencies; and promote a healthy work/life balance so employees can reach their personal and professional goals. As a Safety Engineer, I responded promptly to injuries, incidents, and safety concerns; provided safety consultation, auditing, and training to medium-sized and large-sized organizations; conducted ergonomic assessments and respirator fit testing; audited work areas, and evaluated processes for safety compliance and productivity improvement. I wrote safety documents, procedures, training presentations, and weekly supervisor safety talks/lessons learned. I engaged employees in safety culture through "management by walking around", volunteer employee groups, safety surveys (NSC Barometer and self-developed), safety fairs, and safety summits. I possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, public speaking, presentation, and teaching skills. I have been trained in 1st Aid/CPR/AED, TapRoot, BROWZ/Avetta, ABS RCA, SafeStart, Humantech, LEAN/Kaizen, Six Sigma, MDA gas detection, incident command, CERT, and OSHA/NFPA regulations. It is my goal to see everyone safe, secure, and healthy while on the job and beyond!
