About Kenneth Joseph

I'm a third-year Computing Science and Mathematics student at the University of Alberta, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence, software development, and algorithmic problem-solving. My experience spans from building scalable applications to implementing advanced data structures, and I thrive in both collaborative and independent development environments. One of my most notable projects was leading the development of a Signal Betting Bot, which utilized Python, AWS Lambda, and multithreading to scrape, compare, and deliver real-time betting odds for six major soccer leagues via Discord. Beyond the technical execution, I managed the project strategically, leading a team of developers and successfully selling the bot for a four-figure sum—an experience that sparked my interest in software entrepreneurship. I also participated in NATHACKS, where I collaborated with a team to develop a Flask/SocketIO backend capable of processing live EEG data. Our project integrated statistical analysis algorithms, AI-powered insights, and real-time EEG graphing to help students improve their study habits. My technical proficiency includes Java, Python, C, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AWS CLI, Git, and Makefile. I have hands-on experience with data structures and algorithms, including binary search trees, linked lists, and queue-based games, as well as experience teaching computing concepts to diverse age groups as an instructor at CodeNinjas. I'm passionate about building scalable software, AI applications, and exploring innovative ways to use technology.
