What can I say, maybe there is a screw loose in my head but I love PM work. The people are my kind of people. Hardworking tell it like it is sort of a bunch that rewards you for doing the right thing. My friend and I started a flooring store in 2008 3 months after the economy collapsed. What rotten timing and we didn't even know what the word Accounts Receivable meant. Also, as an introverted person I had zero clue on how to "sell" my company. One thing I knew I could do was work hard and tell the truth. Traditionally, sales is about painting the corners as to sway the customer to get a "yes". That not the case in PM, blunt honesty works the best. This is why I became such a good fit. 2012 GreatFloors bought us and we have built two markets (Boise, Spokane). One of my proudest accomplishments in my tenure of PM is that my close rate is one of the very worst in the company, its dismal at best. However, my retention rate is over 90%. After 33years in flooring I can't believe I still love this business!
