Hey world my name is Kenneth J Mcgee also known by my stage name Comedian Kenny Jay. I have been trying to get a gig in the radio industry since I graduated from Ohio media school in 2014 in Columbus Ohio. Radio broadcasting is also a passion of mine and have been since 2005, when I found out that a lot of comedians also work on radio, so I started perusing it and my first crack at it was a college in Ohio, Wright state university to be exact. I had an opportunity to do a weekly show, I really enjoyed it and saw myself doing it as a career. I decided to go to an actual Radio T.v. Broadcasting school at the time it was the Ohio center for broadcasting Located in Columbus Ohio. I did learn a little more than I learned at Wright state, but still didn't quite have all the tools needed to make it in the industry so what I did is made some real connections with people in radio and that has helped me, but I quickly learned that this industry was very competitive. Someone once told me that people who have been in the game for a while is not willing to give up there position to a new comer, that showed me then how competitive this industry is. I have recently tried getting on at a station here in Mobile, that didn't pan out well but I learned a lot of valuable lesson while perusing that job. As for my comedy career let's just say thats a unique situation, a young lady I was dating encouraged me to try my hand it, I did and ever since I've been at. I think my girlfriend at the time was more so encouraging me to stop rapping than she was encouraging me to do comedy, in any case I was a better comedian than I was a rapper and I quickly learned that the minute I hit the stage as a comedian, not that I was good at first but just for the mere fact I enjoyed it a lot more. Over time I did get better after a long time of being booed of stage of course. Ever since I have been going strong in comedy and since 2005 I have been going strong in radio.
