About Kenneth Perkinson

My college career began at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke where I spent my first three years of college studying business marketing. After my third year at Pembroke, I decided to transfer and chose Winthrop University to finish my degree at. On top of going to school for the past four years working towards my marketing degree, I have been an athlete at two NCAA schools. My freshman year, an opportunity presented itself to try out for a semi-pro soccer team in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I tried out, made the team, and applied for a couple jobs in the Myrtle Beach Area. I got hired to be a waiter at Duffy's Street Seafood Shack in Cherry Grove and have gone back to play soccer while waiting tables each of the last four summers. My customer service skills have continued to improve and get better each summer. I have also learned everything it takes to effectively and efficiently run a restaurant in a high paced, touristy area. Throughout my time of being a student athlete I have learned be a contributing team member, how to look beyond myself towards the bigger goal of the group, success doesn't come without hard work, and how to learn from failure. I am a hardworking, dedicated, loyal individual that will work as hard as I need in order to earn my standing with a company.I graduate in December of 2017 and look forward to becoming a member of an established company and helping them to continue to grow their brand.
