Kenneth Thorne came to Cherry Logistics in May of 2011 with over 34 years of experience in retail store management. Over his 34 years Ken was assigned to 31 different store locations, many of which were opportunity stores that utilized his leadership skills for improvements in sales & earnings. Ken’s primary responsibilities where to increase profitable sales, provide 100% customer satisfaction & lead / mentor over 200 associates at each location. Over his 20 years as a Store Director Ken had countless management & corporate trainees assigned to him. While having his normal responsibilities Ken also was responsible for many assignments from corporate to include weekly assigning of over 75 full time meat cutters. He also was responsible for weekly coordinating the companies 28 fuel centers sales, margins & payrolls. Along with his duties as a Store Director he was principal owner of LDT construction with background in home remodeling. As a licensed & bonded contractor Ken’s background includes extensive knowledge of carpentry, plumbing & electrical work. Ken has always been very active in his community ranging from little league baseball where he managed & assisted for over 10 years, volunteering at his local church weekly & most recently served as vice president for his local townhome association. Overall this experience & background has made for a great platform to lead Cherry Logistics.
