About Kenneth Warren

With nearly a decade of experience in executive and administrative management, I have led a diverse group of people in accomplishing organizational goals while acquiring a robust skillset targeted at effectively leading teams, departments, and companies to reach their full potential. I began my career as the Administrative Manager of PCC Stride Inc, a foster care program tasked with rehoming incarcerated youth with recruited foster parents. I established and redesigned workplace systems to fulfill the organizational goal of proficient record-keeping. As a result, I created a database of documentation meant to serve the agency for years to come. The foundation of my development took shape at PCC Stride Inc, as I honed many skills that would serve me throughout my career. I later diversified my managerial background by becoming a Retail Sales Manager of two different Krispy Kreme locations, Capitol Heights, MD, and Columbia Heights, Washington D.C. respectively. I led a team of young adult professionals in the day-to-day operations of the company. While training them to meet company goals, I developed the skill of managing a wide range of personalities with diversified backgrounds. After training my successor, I made a seamless transition to municipal government by becoming the Office Manager for the Town of Capitol Heights, MD, where I am presently employed. During my time at Capitol Heights, I have aided several departments including the finance department with payment reconciliations. Additionally, I’ve also led and produced several major events for Capitol Heights from inception to completion. After implementing internal systems to better serve my team’s workflow, I have also assumed external responsibility in the form of Capitol Heights’ online marketing by way of managing the town’s social media accounts. Through CivicPlus, I also redesigned the website, which is set to launch in the Fall of 2023. In late 2022, I became a leading manager on Capitol Heights’ implementation of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), a disbursement of federal funds to eligible homeowners within the town. One of my main contributions to the process was developing the ARPA application itself. With each consecutive step, I strive to foster a positive work environment. One where team members can bring their full selves, thrive, recover from mistakes, and grow as I lead by example. I continue to seek out opportunities to expand and advance, while also reserving the capacity to continue to lead and motivate team members regardless of their level of experience.
