About Kenneth Wong

With over 10 years of experience in workforce development, I am passionate about developing and delivering customised and holistic human capital solutions for enterprises in various sectors. As the Director of the Trade and Lifestyle Division at Workforce Singapore, I lead a team of professionals who work closely with industry partners, government agencies, and training providers to enhance the employability and productivity of workers in the retail, food and beverage, and hospitality sector. Recently, we have also started to work with the Food Manufacturing and Wholesale Trade sector. I am passionate truly believe in the importance of enabling Singaporeans to access quality jobs, build fulfilling careers, and achieve lifelong learning. In my current role, I leverage my skills in customer relationship management, training and development, and people management to design and implement innovative programmes and initiatives that address the specific needs and challenges of the trade and lifestyle sector. Some of the projects that I have contributed to include the Job Redesign Reskilling Programme, Career Conversion Programmes and numerous other initiatives such as Overseas Markets Immersion Programme and Service Jobs Transformation Leadership Programme to drive workforce transformation. Through these projects, I have helped companies to upgrade skills of their workforce, adapt to changing workforce landscape, and secure new opportunities for growth. I have also established and maintained strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as employers, unions and associations to promote the value and benefits of workforce development.
