As a first-generation college graduate and the eldest child raised by a single-parent immigrant father, I've learned to overcome challenges with resilience and determination. Juggling a full-time course load alongside working 25+ hours a week, I've cultivated invaluable skills in time management, perseverance, and adaptability. Furthermore, I've sharpened my leadership prowess by facilitating leadership training sessions under the guidance of a mentor. These experiences have enabled me to nurture essential traits such as self-awareness, effective communication, and teamwork. My journey as an EMT and my immersion in the medical profession, coupled with personal hurdles, have ignited my ambition to pursue the highest level of care as a surgeon. I thrive on continuous learning and am dedicated to making a significant impact in healthcare and within my community.
