Voice actor, librarian, cook - i have a love of reading and performing aloud."The man who will not read, has no advantage over the man who cannot read" Mark Twain. Literacy is the greatest gift you can give to your fellow man! I believe children deserve to be read to, to be taught to read, and that every child can be reached and become literate! Reading opens doors - it is the keystone in the building of life! We are all in this world together - support, love and help one another - we are all the same inside. The Patterson - YOUR Library for the future! I'm about to begin my 7th year here! In 2017 I slowly purchased different types of technology to use in a coding club or in STEAM programs: a Code-erpillar; Dash and Dot; Potato Pirates-a coding card game; green screen technology items (screen, holder, iPad, etc.); Squishy Circuits; a 3D printer and a 3D Scanner. We will have a conversion lab one day! We have a VHS to digital converter; a Cassette to digital converter; and an 8mm projector to use to convert films to digital. One of my assistants has developed Early Reader Kits, we've begun to circulate Crafts-to-Go Kits and Jigsaw Puzzles. We've added Ukuleles, Bakeware, Rubber Stamps and Card Creator Kits! We are the Heart of our community, beating strong. My Specialties: Storytime, Storytelling, Puppeteering, Technology, a pinch of Magic and a lot of fun, while working with children and adults to develop literacy and strengthen our community.
