I easily could be referred to as a road warrior as my work assignments have allowed me to work in 12 foreign countries, and 20 US states (and District of Columbia). I have enjoyed gaining a wealth of knowledge from an extensive list of projects. If I were to say "educational facilities" would you know that I've worked in daycare/nurseries, pre-K to 12 public and private schools, colleges & universities? Would you have thought some of these schools are secure on military bases such as for diplomat's children in Ankara Turkey, or high ranking officers of NATO at SHAPE headquarters in Belgium? My experience is like this. If I am to tell you I worked in many "industrial facilities" I would have an exhaustive lists sub-divided such as chemical plants, power generating plants, steel mills, food processing plants, tire manufacturing plants, etc, and there would again be a list of specific sites, corporate names, and various duties in each of the sub-divided lists. If I were to just say "government projects", would you be thinking EPA and HUD funded national surveys, USACE hazardous waste site, DODDS international schools, FEMA site work, OSHA compliance surveys, ATF facilities, federal courthouses, state prisons, city jails? How about commercial facilities, medical facilities, residential? More likely than not, when I arrive at a project, I would not feel out of place, and would be focused on what the scope of work is. I believe that experience brings valuable knowledge, but knowledge does not always account for experience. Specialties: Project oversight and site management, IH monitoring, surveys, and inspections.
