About Kent Devaney

Character, Competence, and Chemistry Seeking a role where I can put my technical and leadership skills to work and help implement solution-related service request investigations, resolve incidents and support application maintenance. Working for Cerner and holding increasingly more challenging roles, I was originally hired to perform complex troubleshooting investigations for software end-users across the USA. Within three years of employment, I was promoted to a team leadership role, leading two teams responsible for day-to-day operations of associates assigned to review front-end applications (gathering information, using troubleshooting tools, shadowing end users, and testing workflows) and back-end methods(capturing log files, querying tables, updating database fields, and updating/cycling servers). As Support Team Lead, I also monitored production support ticket queues to maintain balanced resources and sought out ways to improve processes and increase productivity. I am a leader with competence, character, and the right chemistry to quickly and efficiently address the task at hand. I excel at identifying problems, evaluating mitigations, and prioritizing the work based on severity and urgency, all while balancing client and business needs in complex situations. I'm passionate about tech and people and specialize in bridging the gap between the two.
